 Solo Information 

 

 

Before Class Begins ....

The North Little Rock R/C Flying Club is chartered by the AMA, thus
it is mandatory that all students be at least temporary AMA members! 
 

bullet

You will receive confirmation of your reservation, maps to the field
 and a letter detailing what you should bring to class.

Five day "Learn to Fly Course" Details..

bullet

 Train at our private field where there is only one plane in the air ....YOURS!

bullet

 The aircraft are slow, reliable and stable!  They are so easy to
 fly that many students land on their fourth or fifth lesson! (1st Day)

bullet

  You learn how to control one control surface at a time and when
  mastered another surface is added.

bullet

  The advanced flight control system makes your learning fast and easy!

bullet

 Up to six flying lessons per day, plus workshops to increase
 your overall understanding of R/C planes, engines and systems.

bullet

 You will develop habits that will ensure progression of your flying skills!

bullet

 You will have the opportunity to  fly your own 1st or 2nd plane.

Cost for Five Days: Includes 30 Flying Lessons, Planes, Fuel, Manuals

Mon 9 am  Ground School,  Taxi Practice,  90oTurns & Approaches
  Evening Reading Assignment from "One Week to Solo"
Tues 9 am  Right & Left Patterns, Low Approaches, take offs and
 Landings.
 Ground Equipment and Maintenance workshops
 Evening Reading Assignment from "One Week to Solo"
Wed 9 am  Aborted Approaches & Landings, Takeoffs with the Co-Pilot
 @ 15%. Practice from Monday & Tuesday Flights.
 Engine Starting & Aircraft Repair workshops
Thurs 9 am  Touch & Go's, Touch & Go's and more Touch & Go's
  No Co-Pilot assistance.
 Pre-flight workshops*
 Evening Reading Assignment from "One Week to Solo"
Fri 9 am  Solo, Touch & Go's & Personal Flights.*
  Presentation of Certificates & Departures around Noon.
  The field is 15 minutes from the airport.
